Mindoro State University (MinSU) formally strengthened its commitment to faculty and personnel welfare following the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the MinSU Main Campus Faculty Association Credit Cooperative (MinSUFACCo) on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at MinSU Main Campus, Alcate, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro.
The MOA was signed by Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President and Dr. Pinky B. Carig, MinSUFACCo Chairperson, with Dr. Christian Apostol, Main Campus Executive Director and other cooperative officials in attendance.
The partnership aims to promote a culture of savings, provide accessible credit assistance, and enhance the overall economic condition of cooperative members. Under the agreement, MinSU and MinSUFACCo will collaborate in facilitating payroll deductions and remittances covering cooperative contributions, savings deposits, and loan payments, ensuring efficiency and convenience for university personnel.
In addition, the agreement establishes cooperation in the development and implementation of mutually beneficial programs designed to support the financial well-being of faculty and staff. A key component of the partnership is the strengthening of financial literacy and cooperative education within the university community, anchored on the principles of transparency, good governance, and mutual benefit.
Following the MOA signing, the newly elected officers of the MinSU Faculty Association – Main Campus formally took their oath of office. Among those sworn in were Ms. Anjanette Alot, Vice Chairperson, and Ms. Flordemae V. Ines, Business Manager.
University officials expressed optimism that the partnership will further empower MinSU personnel through sustainable financial programs and reinforce the role of cooperatives as partners in institutional development.
