Mindoreños and residents of nearby provinces no longer need to travel far to avail of the vital regulatory services of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), as the PRC Service Center at Mindoro State University (MinSU) was officially inaugurated and turned over to the PRC earlier today, February 18. The former PRC satellite center at MinSU has now been upgraded into a full-fledged PRC 4B Service Center, bringing essential services directly to the people, making them more accessible within the province and surrounding areas.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Fr. Willie B. Abas, who officiated the blessing, followed by a ribbon-cutting led by PRC Commissioner Hon. Erwin M. Enad, PRC MIMAROPA Regional Director Dr. Reynaldo D. Agcaoili, MinSU President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, and Mayor Marilou F. Morillo of Calapan. MinSU and PRC employees, along with other local government officials, were also in attendance.

Located on the ground floor of the academic building at MinSU Calapan, the PRC Service Center is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Among the services available at the PRC Service Center include applications for licensure examinations, initial registration, renewal of Professional Identification Cards (PIC), issuance of duplicate PICs, authentication of certificates of registration and PICs, issuance of certificates of good standing, original certification of board ratings/passing, authentication of board ratings/passing, verification of board ratings, and filing petitions for changes of status and corrections of entries/data.

“This initiative is a significant step in helping Mindoreños and residents of nearby provinces access the services they need without the hassle of traveling long distances. We are proud to offer this space that enhances public service,” said Dr. Apostol.

PRC Commissioner Hon. Erwin M. Enad also expressed his appreciation to MinSU for the partnership and the unwavering support in providing funds for the improvement of the office space. He emphasized the importance of creating a conducive environment for professionals who serve as the backbone of nation-building. “Thank you very much to Mindoro State University, from the beginning of the satellite office until it became a full PRC Service Center. You provided us with the space in Calapan and all the necessary facilities to serve our professionals,” said Commissioner Enad.

He further added that the PRC Service Center makes it easier and more efficient for professionals and aspiring board exam candidates to access essential services without having to leave Mindoro.

The PRC Service Center is expected to be a vital facility for Mindoreños and residents of nearby provinces, enabling them to complete their transactions quickly and without the need for long-distance travel. Through this initiative, MinSU continues to strengthen its commitment to serving the community and contributing to the development and well-being of Mindoreños.
