MinSU LHS earns awards, leadership roles at 32nd YMCA National Assembly

The Mindoro State University Laboratory High School (MinSU LHS) - Main Campus successfully participated for the first time in the 32nd Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) National Assembly for High School Students and the 25th YMCA National High School Club Advisers Seminar held at Senior Mess, Teachers Camp, Baguio City, February 15-17, 2025.

The Mindoro State University Laboratory High School (MinSU LHS) - Main Campus successfully participated for the first time in the 32nd Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) National Assembly for High School Students and the 25th YMCA National High School Club Advisers Seminar held at Senior Mess, Teachers Camp, Baguio City, February 15-17, 2025.

Led by Student Body Organization Adviser Mr. Regino G. Dagos, the delegation included Jaryss Myiel A. Mangundayao, Julia Ysabel D. Lauzon, Alexis Rein D. Brucal, Hyacinth Ashir O. Serapion, and Ryzza Lynne L. Nava. The event gathered student leaders and educators nationwide to engage in leadership training, plenary discussions, and interactive workshops.

Despite being first-time participants, MinSU LHS students earned multiple distinctions:

• Mangundayao won 3rd place in the On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest;
• Nava secured 3rd place in the Essay Writing Contest; and
• Nava and Serapion were elected as national officers of this year’s YMCA Assembly.

Mr. Dagos was also given the opportunity to offer testimonials about the event, where he highlighted the importance of leadership programs in shaping young minds. "Our students are not just here to learn; they are here to lead, inspire, and bring back meaningful contributions to our school and community," he stated.

The MinSU LHS delegation returned home with new experiences, achievements, and a strengthened commitment to leadership and service, bringing pride to their school and community.
