The journey from the classroom to the professional world is never easy, but for the graduating Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) IV students of the College of Computer Studies (CCS) at Mindoro State University-Main Campus, the path was made clearer and more meaningful during their Pinning Ceremony with the theme "Code to Career: Developing the Next Generation of Tech Professionals", held at the University Auditorium, MinSU Main Campus, February 4, 2025.

The event was not just a ceremony - it was a reminder of how far the students have come and a beacon of hope for the road ahead. The day began with a Pre-Deployment Orientation, aimed to prepare CCS interns for the realities and challenges of the tech industry. Engr. Jake C. Siscar, Instructor I, opened the session with a compelling talk on Work Ethics, highlighting that technical expertise must always be guided by integrity and professionalism. Ms. Michelle M. Claveria, instructor from the College of Business Management followed with an engaging discussion on Personality Development, encouraging students to build confidence and adaptability as they step into the competitive world of information technology.

In addition, Mr. Cirile Dominic A. Horlador, CCS instructor, then shared valuable insights on Latest IT Trends, reminding students that innovation and continuous learning are keys to staying relevant in a fast-paced industry. To complete the morning session, Engr. Jennie T. Fernando, Assistant Professor IV provided practical guidance on crafting clear and professional reports in her talk on Narrative Technical Report Format and Outline.

At the afternoon session, CCS Dean Mr. John Edgar S. Anthony delivered his inspirational message to the students. He spoke of resilience, hard work, and the importance of using their skills to make a meaningful impact. He also commended these students who have spent countless hours mastering complex codes, solving challenging problems, and adapting to technological advancements.

Highlight of the event was the Pinning Ceremony itself - a symbolic act that marked the students' transition from academic learning to professional practice. As each pin was affixed, it represented more than just readiness for the industry; it was a badge of honor, a symbol of perseverance, and a promise to uphold the values of excellence and ethical responsibility. The room was filled with a sense of accomplishment and quiet determination as each student took this meaningful step toward their future.

In a touching moment, the students presented tokens of appreciation to their parents and guardians, acknowledging the sacrifices, love, and unwavering support that had carried them through years of academic challenges. Tears of gratitude mixed with smiles of pride as parents and students shared quiet embraces—a heartfelt reminder that no one walks this journey alone.

As the ceremony ended, the students left the hall with their heads held high, inspired to take on the challenges of the tech world with courage, skill, and integrity carrying the values and strength imparted by their mentors, families, and the MinSU community.
