The Graduate School held a General Orientation for graduate school students on February 8, 2025, at the MinSU Main Campus. The event, spearheaded by Dr. Alice R. Ramos, Dean of the Graduate School, marked the official start of the second semester of the academic year.
Students, faculty, and staff of the MinSU Graduate School gathered for a productive and insightful session aimed at aligning academic goals and strengthening student engagement.
Key highlights of the orientation included a briefing on Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 15, s. 2019, which sets the policies, standards, and guidelines for graduate education programs. The program goals, objectives, and curriculum were also reviewed and revised to ensure relevance and academic excellence.
Additionally, the research and extension agenda of the Graduate School were discussed, emphasizing the importance of producing high-impact research and promoting community engagement.
They also conducted election and oath-taking of the newly elected officers of the Graduate School Students Association, who pledged to represent the interests of their fellow students and contribute to the university’s development.
Dr. Ramos expressed her gratitude to the faculty and students for their active participation and encouraged them to maintain a strong commitment to academic excellence and professional growth throughout the semester.
