Mindoro State University (MinSU) has reached a new milestone as it debuts in the prestigious 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, marking its first-ever inclusion in the global list of top-performing universities based on sustainability efforts.
MinSU proudly secured a spot in the 1001+ bracket out of 2,526 institutions from 130 countries, earning the highest rank among all participating universities in the MIMAROPA region.
Out of five (5) State Colleges and Universities from MIMAROPA that qualified, MinSU stood out. Western Philippines University, Romblon State University, Marinduque State University, and Occidental Mindoro State College all ranked in the 1501+ bracket.
THE Impact Rankings evaluate how universities support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through research, outreach, teaching, and operations. MinSU submitted performance data for 14 out of the 17 SDGs and received its highest scores in SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
“This recognition is proof of our dedication and strong commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and internationalization,” said MinSU President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol. “This inspires the entire MinSU community to keep striving for greater impact," she added.
MinSU’s entry into the global rankings reflects its growing role in addressing pressing development challenges both locally and globally.
