Mindoro State University (MinSU) expressed its gratitude to Commissioner Ethel Agnes P. Valenzuela for her dedicated service as Chairperson of the MinSU Board of Regents from February 26 to October 20, 2025, as the University welcomes Commissioner Ricmar P. Aquino, newly appointed CHED Commissioner and former President of Isabela State University (ISU), as the new BOR Chairperson.
Commissioner Valenzuela is recognized for her unwavering commitment to promoting quality education and sound governance in higher education institutions across the country. During her leadership, MinSU achieved significant milestones in institutional development, academic excellence, and partnership building.
Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President expressed her appreciation for Commissioner Valenzuela’s guidance and support throughout her tenure.
As MinSU turns the page to a new chapter, the University community warmly welcomes Commissioner Ricmar P. Aquino as the new Chairperson of the Board of Regents.
Prior to joining CHED, Commissioner Aquino served as President of Isabela State University, where he was known for his visionary leadership, commitment to innovation, and strong advocacy for research, extension, and international collaboration.
With his vast experience in higher education leadership, Commissioner Aquino is expected to guide MinSU in advancing its goals of quality assurance, sustainable growth, and transformative education.
As MinSU continues its journey under new leadership, the University reaffirms its mission to nurture innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in service of regional and national development.
