The University Student Government (USG) across Mindoro State University’s (MinSU) three campuses has elected its new federation leaders for the Academic Year (AY) 2024-2025. The MinSCAT Federation of Student Government (MFSG) Elections, along with Oathtaking and Turnover ceremonies was held at the MinSU Main Campus, Alcate, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro, on September 2, 2024, bringing together USG representatives from MinSU Main Campus, Calapan City Campus, and Bongabong Campus.
In his welcome remarks, Mr. Jonbert M. Caoli, Director for Student Affairs and Services, highlighted the importance of understanding the purpose of the organization for all aspirants. He reminded the students to consider who the federation of the student council serves, emphasizing that while unifying as a federation is important, the individuality of each campus should also be respected. "Each campus has its own culture and goals. Let each council prosper with its own vision," he said.
Meanwhile, University President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, in her message, encouraged the student leaders to be the voice with substance of the entire studentry and a constructive arm of the administration. "You are here not to look for the flaws and imperfections of the administration but to ensure that the services and everything that concerns about students are addressed and conveyed," she stated.
Dr. Apostol also reaffirmed the university’s commitment to a being pro-student and student-centered institution. "MinSU is a pro-student and student-centered university because you are the heart of MinSU. Kayo ang dahilan ng pagtibok nito dahil kayo ang buhay ng MinSU," Dr. Apostol added.
She ended her message with a pledge of “Aarugain namin kayo!”, highlighting administration's support to nurture the student leaders and all MinSU students.
Dr. Nemesio H. Davalos, Vice President for Academic Affairs, also shared words of wisdom, reminding the new officers that true leadership goes beyond mere management. He urged them to maintain discipline and uphold the university's good image, emphasizing that leadership should start from them.
Following these, the program continued with the formal election of new student government officers. MFSG Presidential aspirants from the three campuses delivered their respective platforms and advocacies for the organization. Representatives from each campus cast their votes to select individuals who will lead MFSG for this academic year.

These newly elected officers are set to lead the student body for this academic year and likewise contribute to the university’s growth and development. Fuentes who was elected as MFSG President will also serve as the student representative and member of the MinSU Governing Board of Regents, further ensuring that student voices are well represented in university decisions.
