PGOM Recognizes MinSU with ‘Masigasig Award’ for Public Health Excellence

As part of the 74th Founding Anniversary of Oriental Mindoro, the Provincial Government, through the Provincial Health Office, awarded Mindoro State University (MinSU) with Masigasig Award during the Exemplary Public Health Services Awarding Ceremony held at the Bulwagang Panlalawigan, Provincial Capitol Complex, Calapan City, November 12, 2024.

The award recognized MinSU’s exceptional contributions to public health, particularly its dedication to mobilizing and inspiring a large network of blood donation volunteers. These efforts have significantly impacted the province by saving lives and enhancing public health initiatives.

Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor personally handed the plaque of appreciation to MinSU representatives, Ms. Maria Gerlie C. Hernandez and Dra. Gladys M. Ralleta, along with a cash incentive. In a heartfelt gesture, Gov. Dolor also pledged an additional PhP 50,000.00 to the University in recognition of its unwavering support for the provincial government’s health programs.

MinSU’s advocacy for community involvement in blood donation drives has not only strengthened healthcare services in Oriental Mindoro but also fostered a culture of volunteerism, inspiring others to participate in addressing public health challenges.

The Exemplary Public Health Services Awarding Ceremony was among the highlights of the province’s founding anniversary celebrations, honoring outstanding individuals, organizations, and offices for their significant contributions to health and wellness.
