As part of the celebration of the 74th founding anniversary of the Province of Oriental Mindoro, Mindoro State University (MinSU) is participating in the "Food Innovation Festival and Agricultural Jamboree" held at Provincial Demonstration Farm, Merit, Victoria, Oriental Mindoro, today, November 13, 2024.
The activity serves as a platform to showcase the province's agricultural technologies, products, and services, fostering collaboration and innovation among various stakeholders.
Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President, graced the opening program along with officials of the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro headed by Gov. Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor. Also in attendance were representatives from various agencies and sectors committed to advancing agriculture and sustainable development in the province.
In addition, MinSU has set up a booth at the event to highlight two of its flagship projects that contribute to the region’s agricultural and technological advancement – the i-BIBES (MinSU’s Technology Business Incubator Program), which provides vital support for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators, and Project MOSES (Monitoring of Site-Specific E-weather Stations), an IoT-based system designed to enhance real-time weather monitoring in the Mag-asawang Tubig watershed.
Visitors are invited to explore the MinSU booth to learn more about these groundbreaking programs and their contributions to the agricultural and economic sectors, as well as other booths in the venue.
