MinSU Ready to Showcase Talent at the 8th STRASUC Culture and Arts Festival

The 8th Culture and Arts Festival of the Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (STRASUC) officially kicked off with an assembly parade, at the University of Rizal System (URS), November 26, 2024. The event, with the theme “Tayo na Timog Katagalugan, Kultura at Sining ay Isulong,” celebrated the cultural diversity and artistic talents of state universities and colleges (SUCs) from Regions CALABARZON and MIMAROPA.

Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President, led the MinSU delegation in the opening parade, where the University proudly joined other SUCs such as Batangas State University (BatSU), Cavite State University (CvSU), Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), Southern Luzon State University (SLSU), and the University of the Philippines – Los Baños (UPLB). Together, they showcased their rich cultural heritage through colorful attire, and performances.

Also present at the event were Dr. Marita R. Canapi, CHED Commissioner and Chairperson of the MinSU Governing Board of Regents, alongside other SUC Presidents. The parade marked the official opening of the four-day festival, which aims to promote and preserve the culture and arts of Southern Tagalog.
