The start of the new year at Mindoro State University (MinSU) was marked by a meaningful and inspiring first flag ceremony for 2025. The ceremony was led by Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President, alongside university officials, faculty, and staff, as they stood united to welcome the challenges and opportunities of the year ahead.
In her message, Dr. Apostol acknowledged that the upcoming year would bring its share of challenges, some of which might be easier to overcome, while others might test their resolve. However, she emphasized the importance of maintaining unwavering belief in themselves and in the University.
"Sa panibagong taon, marami tayong kahaharapin na pagsubok at test na minsan ay maiipasa natin, minsan ay hindi, pero pag matibay ang paniniwala natin, even failure will turn into a gem," said Dr. Apostol. She cited the famous quote, "A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a person perfected without trials," drawing attention to the resilience required in the face of adversity.
Dr. Apostol also reminded everyone that when the MinSU community comes together and works in solidarity, no challenge is too great to overcome. "Pag sama-sama at tulong-tulong, matibay na malalampasan ang bawat pagsubok," she stated. She further encouraged the entire MinSU community to trust in the University’s ability to preserve its vision and dreams for the future.
She concluded her message with an uplifting note, urging everyone to carry positive energy into the new year. "Let us fill our hearts with love, care, and happiness."
The first flag ceremony of 2025 set a positive and hopeful tone for the year ahead, reminding everyone that with unity, belief, and love, they are more than capable of overcoming any obstacles they may face.
