Mindoro State University took proactive support to ensure the smooth transition of its graduating students and alumni into the workforce as it launched the Job Placement One-Stop Shop event. This initiative, featuring social security agencies such as Social Security System, PhilHealth, and Pag-Ibig Mutal Development Fund aims to bridge the gap between students entering the workforce while ensuring their enrollment with the participating social security agencies.

The said event commenced at MinSU Bongabong Campus on April 16, 2024 where participating agencies offered onsite services to graduating students and alumni. On the following day, April 17, 2024, the event continues at MinSU Main Campus, providing another opportunity for students to access government services. The last and final stop was a two-day one-stop-shop event at MinSU-Calapan Campus on April 18 and 19, 2024.

The Job Placement One-Stop Shop serves as a centralized hub for graduating students and alumni to assist them in enrolling and securing membership in these programs. Aside from the enrollment and membership services, inquiries and other services offered by the participating agencies were also entertained.

By providing these services, MinSU aims that the graduates are not only equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to land a job but also with essential social security benefits and healthcare coverage as they embark on their professional journeys.

Mr. Jobert M. Caoli, Director of the Office for the Student Affairs and Services and initiator of the event said that this initiative is an example of how MinSU goes beyond academics to prepare the students for a successful future. “We want to support them, our graduating students, alumni as well as the MinSU personnel in two crucial areas – securing their future careers and ensuring their social security benefits.
