Mindoro State University (MinSU) has officially received the cash prize for the Masigasig Award, today, March 13, 2025 at the Office of the Governor, Provincial Capitol, Calapan City, was conferred by the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro through the Provincial Health Office during the Exemplary Public Health Services Awarding Ceremony on November 12, 2024, at the Bulwagang Panlalawigan, Provincial Capitol Complex, Calapan City.
The cash prize was personally received by Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President, from Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor who expressed her gratitude for the recognition. According to Dr. Apostol, the awarded funds will be used to procure health test kits, including cholesterol and sugar test kits, among others, to benefit the MinSU community.
"With the cash prize, we aim to enhance the well-being of the MinSU community by providing essential health test kits and ensuring that our faculty, staff, and students have access to essential health monitoring tools," Dr. Apostol stated. “We also encourage a proactive approach to wellness within the MinSU community,” she added.
MinSU was honored with the Masigasig Award for its remarkable contributions to public health, particularly in mobilizing blood donation volunteers, which has greatly impacted healthcare services in the province.
