Mindoro State University (MinSU) has once again proven its commitment to academic excellence as it was conferred with the prestigious Excellence in Quality Assurance in Teacher Education (EQUATE) Award by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The awarding ceremony which is currently being held today, April 2, at the Manila Hotel in Ermita, Manila gathered various HEIs across the country.
The EQUATE Award is a distinguished recognition given to institutions that have consistently upheld the highest standards in delivering quality pre-service teacher education. MinSU is one of the awardees, earning this honor for its steadfast adherence to CHED’s minimum standards, its rigorous program accreditation, and its exemplary performance in the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT).
Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President, accompanied by Dr. Wilma Lontoc, Dean of the College of Teacher Education proudly accepted the plaque of recognition, a testament to MinSU’s unwavering dedication to producing highly competent and professional educators.
This recognition underscores MinSU’s vital role in developing highly qualified educators who contribute significantly to the nation’s educational landscape. With this honor, the university reaffirms its mission of providing top-tier education and strengthening its reputation as a leading institution in teacher education.
The event is graced by esteemed officials from CHED, led by CHED Chairperson J. Prospero E. De Vera III, along with representatives from other higher education institutions.
