The ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was held at the MinSU Calapan City Campus on August 8, 2025.

Under the agreement, MinSU will encourage faculty and students to participate in learning exchange activities facilitated by CCIPH. The university will also provide institutional support for co-organizing academic forums, training sessions, and site visits on biodiversity conservation. CCIPH, in turn, CCIPH will facilitate these learning exchange activities and share relevant field experiences and tools.

According to Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, MinSU President, the partnership will strengthen the university’s mission to protect key biodiversity areas in Oriental Mindoro through science-based, community-driven, and education-aligned initiatives. “I see this collaboration as a vital step in preparing our students and communities to lead conservation efforts with both heart and expertise,” she said in a statement posted on her official Facebook page.

The collaboration is expected to integrate its insights and outputs into MinSU’s academic and community engagement programs, further strengthening the university’s role in environmental protection across the province.
