Mindoro State University (MinSU) brewed something special for its employees as the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) rolled out an initiative dubbed as “Even a Public Servant Needs a Coffee Break” on September 29–30, 2025.
With the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, light snacks, and cheerful conversations filling the halls, the activity provided faculty and staff a refreshing pause from daily routines. It became a simple yet meaningful way to celebrate camaraderie, wellness, and the noble service rendered by MinSU employees every day.
“Sometimes the best way to strengthen service is to take a breather together,” shared Ms. Zea Fiel V. Sigue, Administrative Officer V/HR Officer III. “Coffee breaks may seem simple, but they remind us that even public servants need moments to pause, recharge, and reconnect,” she added.
The initiative served as a reminder that behind the paperwork, classrooms, and offices are men and women who deserve moments of rest and recognition. And yes, sometimes, all it takes is a good cup of coffee to recharge a public servant’s heart.
The activity capped off the nationwide observance of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) Anniversary, carrying the theme “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing para sa Bayan.” In line with Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, series of 1997, September is celebrated annually as Civil Service Month, honoring government workers’ dedication and contributions to public service.
