Mr. Lester Antoni G. De Guzman, Internal Auditor III of Mindoro State University (MinSU), is currently participating in the Annual National Convention cum Seminar organized by the Association of Government Internal Auditors, Inc. (AGIA), which runs from October 7 to 10, 2025, at the Citystate Asturias Hotel, Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
With the theme “Sustainable Governance in the Public Sector: Reinforcing Leadership and Accountability,” the convention gathers professionals from the public sector, including internal auditors, accountants, budget officers, property custodians, and risk management personnel from various government agencies and state universities and colleges nationwide.
The ongoing four-day convention aims to strengthen capabilities in sustainable governance and promote integrity in public service. Discussions focus on leadership development, digital transformation in auditing, public-private partnerships, risk-based auditing, data analytics, and ethical human resource practices. Complementary sessions on effective communication, corporate social responsibility, and employee well-being further enrich the learning experience.
One of the highlights of the ongoing event is the Manifesto Pledge, where participants reaffirm their commitment to uphold ethical, transparent, and accountable governance in their respective institutions.
Through this engagement, Mr. De Guzman represents MinSU’s continuing commitment to good governance, accountability, and integrity in public service.
The AGIA National Convention continues to serve as one of the country’s leading platforms for collaboration, innovation, and ethical leadership among government auditing professionals.
