MinSU continues to soar high in academic excellence as it celebrates another milestone achievement. Following its recognition as the 7th Top Performing School in the 2024 Criminologist Licensure Examination, the university has now produced two topnotchers in the recent 2024 Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT). The results were released by the Professional Regulation Commission on May 24, 2024.
Sharing the Top 5 spots of the BLEPT were Clarence Joy D. Salmorin from the MinSU-Bongabong Campus and Christian Albert B. Paskil from the MinSU-Calapan City Campus with a rating of 91.80%.
According to Dr. Anthony C. Agutaya, OIC-University President, this achievement marks a significant milestone for MinSU, as it is the first time the university has produced not just one but two topnotchers in the field of education licensure examinations.
Alongside Salmorin and Paskil, 44 graduates of elementary education from MinSU Main and Bongabong campuses, and 343 secondary education graduates from the three MinSU campuses, joined the roll of passers in the BLEPT. Impressively, the elementary education level yielded an average passing rate of 100% for MinSU-Main Campus and 83.33% for MinSU Bongabong Campus. Meanwhile, the overall ratings for the secondary education levels stood at 85.29% for MinSU-Main Campus, 77.32% for MinSU-Bongabong Campus, and 81.23% for MinSU-Calapan City Campus.
These results significantly exceed the national passing rates of 46.70% for elementary education and 58.78% for secondary education.
