Nine new members - eight faculty and one administrative staff, officially joined the Mindoro State University (MinSU) community today, October 22, after taking their oath of office in a ceremony administered by Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President.

The newly sworn-in personnel include six (6) individuals from the Main Campus and three (3) from the Bongabong Campus, marking a significant reinforcement to the university’s growing workforce. Among the nine, four (4) have secured permanent positions, four (4) hold temporary appointments, and one (1) received a contract renewal.

In her message, President Apostol urged the new MinSUans to live by the university’s core mantra - mahusay, mabuti, at matino, which embodies the University’s commitment to excellence, integrity, and moral responsibility.

“We don’t have to be perfect. But we have to try our best to be mahusay, mabuti at matino,” President Apostol stated. She explained that being mahusay means not only mastering one’s field of specialization but also demonstrating strong work ethics. Being mabuti, she added, means doing what is right and just not hurting others, not taking advantage of or abusing others. Finally, being matino means upholding honesty and discipline in public service, as members of the university are looked up to as role models.

President Apostol also reminded the newly appointed employees of their crucial role in advancing the university’s strategic development agenda, LIFTMINSU, which aligns with MinSU’s mandates and long-term strategic priorities. She emphasized that each member of the workforce plays a part in realizing the University’s vision of excellence and transformative education.

The University President concluded her message by extending her warmest congratulations and welcome to the nine new members of the MinSU community, encouraging them to serve with dedication, integrity, and passion for public service.
