For the second consecutive year, Mindoro State University (MinSU) has been recognized as one of the Most Responsive Agencies by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) MIMAROPA, in acknowledgment of its valuable contribution to the success of the agency’s programs and activities across the region.

The award was conferred during the Closing Ceremony of the 36th National Statistics Month (NSM) held on October 27, 2025, at Nuciti Central, Calapan City, with the theme “Accelerating the SDG Pace of Progress: Mobilizing Data for All.” The recognition underscores MinSU’s steadfast support for PSA MIMAROPA’s advocacy of promoting data-driven governance and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through education, research, and community engagement.

Ms. Mary Ann M. Hernandez, DPME, Director for Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PME) and MinSU Focal Person for PSA MIMAROPA, received the Plaque of Recognition on behalf of the University.

MinSU also celebrated the success of its talented students who showcased their skills and creativity in regional contests organized as part of the NSM celebration. Cristina B. Madrigal, a BS Information Technology III student, secured 3rd Place in the Digital Slogan Making Contest, while Abby Grace L. Villajuan, a BS Entrepreneurship I student, earned 2nd Place in the Digital Poster Making Contest. Both were mentored by Ms. Anna Liza A. Vitto and Mr. Ross Christian C. Manuel, respectively.

The contest proper was held on October 9, 2025, at the PSA RSSO MIMAROPA Training Room, Camilmil, Calapan City, with the awarding ceremony taking place during the official closing program.

This back-to-back recognition reaffirms MinSU’s unwavering commitment as a partner institution in promoting statistical literacy, supporting evidence-based policymaking, and empowering the youth to champion the use of data for inclusive and sustainable development.
