Surpassing our Limits: Commissioner Aquino challenges MinSU to aim higher at MinSU BoR Q4 Meeting

AIM HIGHER - this is Commissioner Ricmar P. Aquino’s motivational push to MinSU as it presented its achieved targets before the Board of Regents.

The Mindoro State University Board of Regents (BoR) held its 4th Quarter Regular Meeting on December 17, 2025 at the 4/F Higher Education Building, C.P. Garcia Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, highlighting the successful accomplishment of its targets for the Fiscal Year 2025.

Present in the meeting both in person and via Zoom were CHED Commissioner and MinSU BoR Chairperson Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino; University President and MinSU BoR Vice Chair Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol; the MinSU BoR members – Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor as Sen. Loren Legarda’s Representative from the Senate Committee on Higher, Technical and Vocational Education; Atty. Al C. Bonghanoy, Permanent Representative of Hon. Jude A. Acidre from the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education (CHTE); Engr. Jerry B. Mercado, OIC-Director of DOST MIMAROPA; Mr. Enrique T. Magalay, Jr., MinSU Faculty Regent; Ms. Juvelyn V. Gumal-in; Mr. Prince Kaide F. Fuentes, Student Regent; CHED MIMAROPA Dir. Edna Imelda F. Legazpi represented by Engr. Edgar C. Cepe, Chief Education Specialist; Dr. Genelita E. Hernandez, Board Secretary V; and Ms. Maricar V. Jose, Board Secretary I.

Among the topics of discussion were the approval of fiscal, administrative, academic and RITE (Research, Innovation, Technology and Extension) matters that are essential for the seamless operations for the year 2026.

The efforts of the members of the Board of Regents, and their active involvement in actualizing MinSU’s achievements also proved a crucial role in the University’s 2025 journey and for the years to come - further fueling collaboration as an important asset of MinSU’s development.

The Commissioner, upon hearing and seeing the accomplishments laid out in the meeting, urged the University to aim higher, noting that after reaching this milestone, we are now set to transcend to higher goals, greater objectives and surpass the limits of our expectations.

This reflects MinSU’s exceptional performance for the year 2025, brought about by the collective efforts, sacrifices and hard work of the entire MinSU community – from its officials, employees, students and partner stakeholders. We reaffirm our standing as a University of Choice by exceeding what we have targeted, uplifting the MinSU pride.
