Mindoro State University (MinSU) reaffirmed its commitment to cultural excellence and heritage preservation through its active participation in the National Culture and the Arts Festival (NCAF) 2026, held on January 21–23, 2026 at West Visayas State University (WVSU), Iloilo City.
The University was represented by a distinguished delegation composed of Ms. Rhea B. De Guzman, Director for Culture, Heritage and Arts; Ms. Roselie T. Gonzales, Director for Sports and Wellness; Dr. Harieth Cawagdan–Cuarto, Associate Professor III and Essay Writing Coach; and Ms. Glenda C. Castillo, Assistant Professor IV and Dagliang Talumpati Coach. Their participation underscored MinSU’s proactive role in national cultural dialogue and artistic development.
Organized by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) in partnership with West Visayas State University, the summit gathered cultural directors, trainers, artists, and policymakers from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the country. Anchored on the theme “Pagsaulog: Pagpasidungog sa Aton Panublion, Kultura, kag mga Bahandi,” the festival highlighted the celebration of Filipino cultural heritage, the recognition of diverse artistic expressions, and the sustained nurturing of cultural treasures through education, collaboration, and policy support.
MinSU’s participation in NCAF 2026 resulted in strengthened professional networks, full alignment with the NCAF Manual of Operations, enhanced artistic and training competencies, and a renewed institutional commitment to cultural development.
