MinSU undergoes 2nd ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit, strengthens quality systems

Reaffirming the University’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement, Mindoro State University (MinSU) successfully conducted its 2nd ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit on January 16, 2026.

Reaffirming the University’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement, Mindoro State University (MinSU) successfully conducted its 2nd ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit on January 16, 2026. The audit was led by Ms. Marivic M. Mediavillo of ApexCert International Inc., the University’s certifying body, who evaluated MinSU’s adherence to established Quality Management System (QMS) standards.

The surveillance audit covered the provision of tertiary education across key academic units, including the College of Agriculture and Allied Fields, College of Teacher Education, and College of Computer Studies. Administrative services and core operational processes were likewise assessed to ensure alignment with institutional objectives and quality procedures.

During the evaluation, auditors reviewed documented systems, workflows, and service delivery practices to validate the University’s conformity with ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements, as well as applicable statutory and regulatory standards. Offices and units presented their operational practices and demonstrated how quality policies are implemented in their day-to-day functions.

Faculty members, administrative personnel, and process owners actively participated in the activity, highlighting improvements made since the previous surveillance audit. The process also identified areas for further enhancement, encouraging continuous development across both academic and administrative units.

The successful conduct of the 2nd surveillance audit underscores MinSU’s dedication to sustaining internationally recognized quality management standards. It also reflects the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional processes and deliver responsive, quality services to its stakeholders. (jdtdc)
