Mindoro State University’s alumni shared stories of hope on how CHED’s Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Scholarship Program helped them finish college in the midst of economic hardships and challenges.
Coming from financially challenged families, many of the students revealed the struggles they faced in pursuing higher education. From working part-time jobs and skipping meals to enduring long travels and financial uncertainty just to stay in school. Despite these challenges, they remained determined to finish their studies and build a better future for their families.
Engr. Anjanette de Jesus, Mr. Rey Mark Narzolis and Mr. Cris Jun Muhi shared how through the support provided by the TES program, they were able to sustain their academic needs, transportation, school requirements, and daily expenses, allowing them to focus on their education and continue striving toward graduation.
Beyond financial assistance, their stories reflected resilience, hope, and the power of accessible education in changing lives. For many beneficiaries, the program became more than just support, it became an opportunity to continue dreaming despite difficult circumstances.
As these students move closer to achieving their goals, their journeys stand as proof of how education, when made accessible, can empower individuals and uplift communities.
