Mindoro State University has added another generation of professionals to the country's workforce as 1,902 undergraduate graduates and 72 graduate school completers crossed the stage during the University's 2026 commencement exercises across its three campuses.
Held from June 15 to 18, 2026, the ceremonies celebrated 495 graduates from Victoria (Main) Campus, 505 from Bongabong Campus, and 902 from Calapan City Campus, all carrying the theme, "2026 Graduates: Proud, Principled, and Poised to Serve the Filipino Community."
The commencement exercises underscored MinSU's growing role in producing skilled, values-driven professionals who will help address the country's need for competent educators, innovators, engineers, entrepreneurs, fisheries experts, tourism practitioners, public servants, and other leaders capable of driving sustainable development in Mindoro and beyond.
The Class of 2026 likewise demonstrated remarkable academic excellence, producing 267 Latin honor recipientsโ89 from Calapan City Campus, 98 from Bongabong Campus, and 80 from Victoria (Main) Campus, reflecting the University's continuing commitment to quality education and student success.
Throughout the ceremonies, university officials and distinguished speakers challenged graduates to transform their education into meaningful action. They urged the Class of 2026 to embrace resilience, reject self-imposed limitations, pursue their passions with purpose, and use their knowledge to create positive change in their communities.
University President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol reminded graduates to become catalysts for progress wherever they go.
"Go where there is stagnation, and bring innovation. Go where there is division, and lead with a healing heart," she said, calling on every MinSuan to live out the University's ideals of being mahusay, mabuti, and matino.
As they formally join the ranks of MinSU alumni, the University's newest graduates leave not only with degrees, but with the responsibility to serve, lead, and innovate. Their entry into the workforce reinforces MinSU's mission of developing competent professionals whose knowledge, character, and commitment will help shape stronger communities and a more sustainable future for the Philippines.
