Faculty members, employees, students, alumni, and partners of Mindoro State University (MinSU) came together in a powerful display of unity to open PAGTANAW 2026: State of the University Address, welcoming the University President, Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol through a series of surprise tributes that culminated in a symbolic Unity Walk—setting the tone for a day of reflection, celebration, and renewed commitment to the University's shared vision.
The tribute began at the junction road in Brgy. Babangonan leading to MinSU Victoria Campus, where the MinSU Calapan City Campus warmly received the President. The welcome continued at the curve near Macatoc National High School with the MinSU Bongabong Campus, near Alcate High School with the Faculty Federation, at Alcate Bridge with the MinSU Victoria Campus, and concluded at the MinSU Victoria Campus Gate, where students completed the community-wide welcome.
At each station, the President was greeted with congratulatory tarpaulins, bouquets of flowers, and vibrant performances, reflecting the gratitude, pride, and unwavering support of the MinSU community as she marked her second year of leadership.
From the University gate, participants proceeded with the Unity Walk, symbolizing the collective commitment of the MinSU community to move forward with one vision and one purpose. Walking side by side, faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders made their way to the Administration Building, where the succeeding activities of PAGTANAW 2026 formally commenced.
More than a ceremonial welcome, the opening activities embodied the spirit of PAGTANAW 2026—a University community united in celebrating shared milestones, honoring purposeful leadership, and reaffirming its commitment to advancing excellence, innovation, and inclusive development. (kpic)
