Championing wellness and camaraderie, Mindoro State University Bongabong Campus (MBC) brings Stress Management Seminar and MinSUlympics to the forefront of its 62nd Founding Anniversary Celebration, September 21, 2026.
Students and employees gathered at the MBC grounds for the opening of the founding anniversary through their ceremonial flag raising activities followed by a thanksgiving mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Danilo A. Bayalas, SVD.
Afterwards, to help students and employees cope up with the increasing stress in their work and academic life, MBC conducted a Health and Wellness Seminar: Stress Management, where they discussed different stressors and how to deal with each one of them. Ms. Paula S. Mercene, resource speaker, underscored the importance of having a positive outlook in life to help overcome and manage stress.
To lift each other’s spirits up, Tarik, the official University mascot, graced the celebration and invited the crowd to dance together and interact with one another.
One of the key highlights of the event was the launching of the Theme Song Writing Competition, a key component of the upcoming 6th MinSU Anniversary Celebration of its universityhood happening on March 16, 2027 and to be hosted by MBC.
As the spirit of the crowd kept lighting up, the host finally announced the start of MinSUlympics, where students and faculty members bring their athleticism to the test through the fun and rigorous games prepared by the MBC University Student Government.
In the evening, employees graced the MBC Gymnasium in their formal attire for the Gala Night, where Ms. Rhea B. de Guzman, Director for Heritage, Culture and Arts was warmly celebrated for her recognition as the Natatanging Tourism Program Implementer during the Gabi ng Pagkilala 2026 para sa Turismo, Kultura at Sining ng Oriental Mindoro at the Gawad MAHAL TANA: Local Tourism Stakeholders Excellence Award (LTSEA) on that same evening.
