MinSU hosts 12th STIRDC Conference, Sweeps Awards in Pitching Competition

Mindoro State University (MinSU) hosted the 12th Southern Tagalog Islands Research and Development Consortium (STIRDC) Annual Research, Development and Extension Conference and Pitching Competition held at MinSU Calapan City Campus, Masipit, Calapan, Oriental Mindoro, October 9 – 10, 2024.
With this year’s theme “Building Resilient MIMAROPA: AI & Renewable Energy for a Sustainable Future,” the conference emphasized the potential of artificial intelligence and renewable energy in driving sustainable development across the island provinces of the MIMAROPA region.
Highlight of the conference was a pitching competition where delegates from various SUCs and private Higher Education Institutions (HEI) presented innovative projects and solutions utilizing AI and renewable energy. They showcased ideas aimed at addressing challenges in these critical areas and promoting sustainable development in the region.
