MinSU Bongabong Campus Undergoes AACCUP Level III Accreditation

Mindoro State University Bongabong Campus underwent the AACCUP Level III accreditation process for its BS in Fisheries and BEEd programs, focusing on key areas of academic excellence and improvement, October 28 - 30, 2024.

To uphold academic excellence and program compliance with standards, the Mindoro State University (MinSU) Bongabong Campus has successfully undergone the Level III accreditation process for two of its programs, the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Fisheries and the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd). The accreditation process was conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), held virtually via Zoom from October 28 to 30, 2024.

The BS in Fisheries program underwent Level III, Phase 2 accreditation, focusing on key areas such as Extension, Instruction, Consortia/Linkages, and Faculty Development. The accreditation team was led by Dr. Francis N. Baleta of the State University of Northern Negros, with Dr. Suzette Q. Palla from Iloilo State University of Fisheries and Science and Technology serving as coordinator and team leader.

Meanwhile, the BEEd program revisited Level III, Phase 1 accreditation, emphasizing Extension and Community Involvement. The process was spearheaded by Dr. Amelia E. Silva from the University of Antique.

During the opening program, MinSU University President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol reiterated the institution's commitment to maintaining high educational standards, highlighting the importance of accreditation in ensuring the delivery of quality education.

The said accreditation aims to ensure that MinSU is compliant with national standards for higher education, further strengthening its role as a key provider of quality education in the region.
