To foster unity, faith and spiritual renewal within the Mindoro State University (MinSU) community, the institution celebrated its first Holy Mass for 2024 at the University Auditorium, MinSU Main Campus on January 10, 2024. The mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Matthew M. Marasigan, whose homily centered on the Gospel’s call to embody the values of Jesus Christ and unity in everyday actions.
In his message, Rev. Fr. Marasigan emphasized, “Jesus is known as the Savior, recognized through His works and the acts of goodness. All that is good bears the mark of Christ.” He likened this to MinSU’s aspiration to deliver quality education. “As a university striving for excellence in education, MinSU must bear its distinct mark—tatak MinSU. When students, employees, and the administration act, it must reflect the identity and values of MinSU,” he said.
Rev. Fr. Marasigan further encouraged the community to embrace the spirit of "One MinSU," transcending the boundaries of individual campuses to embody a united institution. “If we want to be the best, we must move as one. We should not be divided by our respective campuses. Just as Jesus is known for His acts of goodness, so must MinSU be known for its impactful actions,” Fr. Marasigan added.
Reflecting on the new year, he concluded with an inspiring reminder. “We begin our year right. We begin under God’s blessing,” he stated.
University President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol led the attendance of university officials, faculty, staff, and students in the Eucharistic celebration.
