As the new week began, MinSU reaffirmed itself as a VAWC-free University as it commemorated the 18-day Campaign to End VAW, earlier today, December 15 at the Main Campus Auditorium.
Mr. John Emmanuel M. Merhan, Main Campus Coordinator for Women, Gender and Development briefed everyone about Violence Against Women (VAW) and shared video clips of real-life stories of VAW survivors and their journey to recovery and empowerment.
On her message, University President, Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol highlighted how the University remains VAW-Free, and is thanks to the entire MinSU community, who cultivates a healthy environment for one another.
As a higher education institution that is home to MinSUans of different backgrounds, creating a safe campus is a must in order to actively engage the community to be functional members of society.
The 18-day Campaign to End VAW has ended, but our advocacy doesn't stop. Together, we shall create a safe, secure and healthy environment for everyone, where violence has no place and equality and respect resonates with one another.
