Mindoro State University (MinSU) and Malampaya Foundation, Inc. (MFI) formally entered into a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) held at the Malampaya Head Office in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, October 25, 2024.
The agreement was executed by Ms. Karen Agabin, Executive Director of MFI, and Dr. Enya Marie Apostol, University President of MinSU, and witnessed by Mr. Ronald V. Bustos, MFI Finance and Administrative Manager, and Mr. Jonbert M. Caoli, MinSU Director for Student Affairs and Services.
This collaborative scholarship program aims to support qualified students from Oriental Mindoro who wish to pursue higher education in fields related to sustainable energy and environmental management. Through this initiative, MinSU and MFI hope to empower local scholars to become leaders in sustainable development, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to address environmental challenges in their communities.
Malampaya Foundation, Inc., an organization focused on environmental conservation and community development, supports programs in education, livelihood, and ecological protection for communities near the Malampaya natural gas project including Oriental Mindoro.
