Mindoro State University proudly opens the 4th Inter-Collegiate Congress on Business and Tourism (ICBT) this November 6, 2025, marking another milestone in its commitment to shaping future leaders in the fields of business and tourism.

With the theme N.E.X.T. in Business and Tourism: Redefining the Future – Experiential, Exponential Technology, Thriving Sustainability,” this year’s congress aims to empower students with the knowledge, agility, and innovation essential for a rapidly transforming global landscape.

A major highlight of the event is the Trade Show, running until November 7, showcasing an impressive lineup of products, services, and entrepreneurial concepts crafted by MinSU’s student-entrepreneurs. Local business owners also joined the exhibit, creating a dynamic space for collaboration, creativity, and enterprise. The Trade Show serves as a living laboratory where students bring classroom theories to life—reflecting MinSU’s dedication to experiential and industry-aligned learning.

The event continued with a Convention focused on how technological advancements and sustainability practices are reshaping the future of business and tourism. Discussions emphasized the need for adaptability, innovation, and responsible leadership—qualities MinSU strives to cultivate in its students.

The program was spearheaded by Ms. Emma Vida R. Liwanag, OIC-Dean of the College of Business Management (CBM), together with the dedicated faculty and student leaders of the college. Their collective effort reflects MinSU’s unwavering pursuit of academic excellence and transformative education.

Inspiring the participants were distinguished speakers who brought valuable insight from various industries. Mr. Darwin M. Bequillo, widely known as Byahe ni Dar and a proud MinSU alumnus, shared his journey as a travel influencer and highlighted the power of storytelling in promoting tourism.

Dr. John Edgar S. Anthony, Dean of the College of Computer Studies, discussed the accelerating role of technology in shaping business ecosystems and the importance of digital competence in future careers.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jan Ludvik Raňeses, an event crafter and branding specialist, emphasized the impact of creativity, identity-building, and strategic branding in modern enterprises.

The congress stands as a testament to MinSU’s growing influence in business and tourism education—championing innovation, fostering entrepreneurial spirit, and preparing students to thrive in a future defined by change.

A meaningful journey begins as MinSU leads the N.E.X.T. generation toward a future of innovation, sustainability, and excellence.
