Mindoro State University (MinSU) participated in the AACCUP National Conference: BAYANIHAN 2024 held at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, November 6-8, 2024. With the theme “Moving Together Toward Accreditation 4.0 to Advance Quality Assurance in the Digital Age,” the conference brought together 498 representatives from Higher Education Institutions nationwide to explore the evolving landscape of accreditation and quality assurance in today’s increasingly digital world.

Leading MinSU's delegation was Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President, accompanied by Dr. Ciedelle P. Salazar, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Genelita E. Hernandez Board Secretary V/Senior Accreditor, Ms. Portia Angelica B. Abog, Director for Quality Assurance (QA), Dr. Gerolyn Javier, QA Coordinator Bongabong Campus/Senior Accreditor, Dr. Arlyn Redublo, Associate Prof II/Senior Accreditor Calapan Campus.

The conference was a significant opportunity for MinSU’s representatives to gain insights into the latest trends in digital learning and their impact on accreditation processes.

The discussions centered on the emerging concept of Accreditation 4.0, which emphasizes the importance of adapting accreditation standards to the rapidly changing digital environment. Sessions delved into the essential role of technological infrastructure in ensuring effective quality assurance, as well as the growing importance of data analytics in the accreditation process.

One of the highlights of the conference was the exploration of how artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and other emerging technologies are reshaping education, accreditation, and quality assurance. Experts shared their insights on how these tools are enhancing learning experiences and transforming institutional assessments.

The event also addressed the critical role that both internal and external stakeholders play in the accreditation process. The need for collaboration and shared responsibility among faculty, students, administrators, and accrediting bodies was emphasized, ensuring that all parties work together toward achieving higher standards of quality education.

Another key aspect of BAYANIHAN 2024 was the identification of strategic networking opportunities. Participants were encouraged to build connections with national and international partners, fostering collaboration to advance accreditation practices and embrace new opportunities for growth in higher education.

MinSU's participation in the event aligns with the university’s ongoing commitment to enhance the quality of its academic programs through innovation and collaboration.
