MinSU Calapan City Campus Class of 2026 was reminded that the true value of education goes beyond earning a diploma—it lies in the resilience built through challenges and the responsibility to use that learning in service of others.
During the 52nd Commencement Exercises held on June 18 at the Calapan City Convention Center, graduates reflected on the struggles, sacrifices, and perseverance that brought them to one of the most important milestones of their lives.
As a culmination of success, the commencement exercises became an avenue for powerful words of encouragement from notable people in the campus. In his Words of Welcome, Magna Cum Laude graduate John Kervie Yaely C. Fesalbon emphasized the strength that comes from overcoming adversity.
"When the pressure mounts, we do not fall, we rise," he said, encouraging his fellow graduates to face future challenges with confidence and determination.
During her speech, University President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol challenged the graduates to become agents of positive change in their communities and professions.
"Go where there is stagnation, and bring innovation. Go where there is division, and lead with a healing heart," she said, urging them to embody the values of a true MinSuan—mahusay, mabuti, at matino.
Meanwhile, commencement speaker Prof. Edna Imelda F. Legazpi, Director IV of CHED MIMAROPA, reminded the graduates that success is rarely achieved without setbacks. She encouraged them to draw strength from the perseverance that carried them through college and to recognize the families, mentors, and loved ones who helped make their success possible.
The ceremony ended on an emotional note as Magna Cum Laude graduate Sonny Sarcia shared a heartfelt tribute to parents and loved ones whose sacrifices paved the way for the graduates' achievements.
As they leave the university and begin a new chapter, the Class of 2026 carries more than academic credentials. They carry lessons of resilience, gratitude, and service—qualities that will help them create meaningful impact wherever their journeys take them.
