Mindoro State University (MinSU) strengthened its commitment to student development by formalizing a partnership with Macatoc National High School (MNHS) and Villa Cerveza High School (VCHS). A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed on January 6, 2025, to provide senior high school students with work immersion opportunities that offer practical experience in office administration, agriculture, and related fields.

The MOA signing ceremony was graced by MinSU officials, including Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, University President; Ms. Joelene C. Leynes, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Mr. Leonel Mendoza, OIC-Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension; Dr. Jerrel S. Reyes, Chief of Presidential Management Staff; and Mr. Jonbert M. Caoli, Director for Student Affairs and Services. Representing MNHS were Dr. Edgardo J. Villarba, Principal IV; Ms. Angielica M. Ogot, OIC-SHS Assistant Principal; and Mr. Dan Aries T. Pascua, Work Immersion Coordinator. Meanwhile, VCHS was represented by Ms. Rowena A. Atienza, Head Teacher III, and Ms. Teresa S. Rogelio.

Since the implementation of the work immersion program for senior high school students, MinSU has been an industry-partner agency, helping students gain practical skills in various fields. This two-week program offers hands-on experience in office administration, accounting, record keeping, and agriculture. MinSU is committed to providing training, mentorship, and resources, while MNHS and VCHS will oversee student enrollment, deployment, and progress monitoring.

Said partnership is a great opportunity for students to apply what they’ve learned in school to real-world work situations. It will also help them explore different career paths and develop valuable skills they need to succeed in their future careers, particularly in office administration and agriculture.
