In line with its commitment to continually uphold quality standards in the delivery of tertiary education, Mindoro State University (MinSU), through its Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Team, conducted an internal audit across key departments and units on September 1 - 8, 2025. The activity was held in preparation for the upcoming second surveillance audit for ISO 9001:2015 this October 2025.
The internal audit covered the College of Teacher Education, College of Computer Studies, and College of Agriculture and Allied Fields, as well as key offices and service units essential to the Universityโs operations. Among those audited were the Human Resource Management Office, Library, Records Office, Data Privacy Office, Medical and Dental Unit, Supply Office, Office of Student Affairs and Services, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit, Admissions Office, Guidance and Counseling Office, Registrarโs Office, Auxiliary Services, Bids and Awards Committee Office, Production and Business Operations, Finance Office, Management Information Systems Unit, Research, Development, and Extension Office, and Flexible Learning Office.
Protocols for preventive maintenance in infrastructure, instructional materials, and the motorpool were also audited, in addition to top management offices such as the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance, and the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer.
The internal quality audit primarily aimed to check if the Universityโs management system complies with ISO 9001:2015 standards, ensure that MinSU meets government and contractual requirements, and verify that its processes are effective in achieving institutional goals.
Led by Dr. Pinky B. Carig, IQA Team Leader, the audit serves as a continuing effort of MinSU to strengthen its internal systems, sustain its ISO certification, and uphold commitment to excellence in providing quality tertiary education.
